Much of Vienna was in bloom. My last afternoon there, before leaving for Budapest, I rode around the city on the metro and got off at random stops. The residential districts on the edge of town had particularly beautiful flowers.

There is a large island in the Danube (or Donau, as the Austrians would say) which is much closer to the far bank of city center. On this island is a huge complex called Vienna Danube City, or "Vienna DC." This park is the recreational area for this microcosm of the city.

While taking pictures of the flowers, I was experimenting with my camera's macro function and focal length. These came out pretty well, I thought.
